名古屋の大規模塾に勤務している時に、腕の良い講師は本部に常駐させて支部教室は新人や問題講師を派遣している経営姿勢に憤りを感じました。それで、故郷に戻り自分の塾を開設して受験指導を行ってきました。
When I was working
for a big private cram school, I knew good teachers always stayed at a
headquarter and not good teachers were sent to branch schools, which made me
feel bad. So I came home and started my
own school in my hometown.
すると、やはりここ三重県も高校生を指導できる塾が近辺に見当たらないために往復３時間もかかる名古屋の河合塾に通う生徒がいました。通信添削を始めたら、北海道から鹿児島まで生徒が集まってくれました。
Then I knew we had no private school which
accept senior high school students or teachers who could teach senior high
level English and math. That is why some students went to Nagoya to attend the
class but it took them 3 hours
That is one of reasons why some students
make use of my school’s correspondent course.
They are now from Hokkaido to Kyushu.
メールを交換するうちに、新幹線を使って往復三時間の距離の予備校に通う子もいることが分かりました。地方には京都大学や旧帝を受験したい子のための予備校や塾がありません。
Exchanging mails, I knew
some go to the nearest cram school using Shinkansen. We need such schools in local areas. We have good schools in local areas, too.
それで、Ｚ会のような通信添削を利用する子が多い。ところが、通信添削では
「なぜ、この英作文が減点されたのか添削者に直接尋ねたい」
「Ｚ会の問題ではなくて、過去問の添削をして欲しい」
という願いはかなえられません。
The biggest correspondent
course Zkai is famous and many students who live in local areas. However they say
“I’d
like to ask why my answer was not good.”
“I
want them to check my composition using my own problem books.”
これが、三重県の無名塾である当塾「高木教育センター」に依頼がくる理由だと思われます。しかし、そうなるとＺ会のような巨大企業と競合することになってしまった。それにしては、ホームページが貧弱なので信用されません。
This is why quite a few students make use of
my correspondent course. But this means
my school has to compete with the big company like Zkai. My school must have the better homepage.
しかし、サイトを改修する費用を調べたら最低限の改修でも２０万円以上かかることが分かりました。私はできるだけ生徒の方の負担を避けたいので、そのような費用を月謝を上げて賄うわけにはいきません。
I asked how much I need to make my homepage
better and the answer was over 200000 yen. I don’t want to raise the tuition fee for this
project.
できるだけ安価で、地方に住む日本の未来を担う人材の手助けをしたいというのが私の願いです。賛同していただける方は、ご協力をお願いします。
