私は中学、高校時代は「優しい」と言われていた。子どもが好きだから、教育関係の仕事を始めた。女性に暴力をふるったことはない。少林寺拳法二段の私が暴力をふるったら酷い結果になる。酒もタバコもやらない。ギャンブルもやらない。
離婚から一番遠い存在だと思っていた。ところが、現実はバツイチで終わった。

and smart. Since I liked children or
students, I started in a teaching field.
I’ve never used violence to women.
I have a black belt, so I have to be careful. I don’t like alcohol, tobacco and gambling.
I believed I had nothing to do with divorce. But we separated..
ジャッキー・チェンと「TVジョッキー」で共演しました。
人間はコンピューターではないので、制御不能だ。塾生に向かって
「これは、sinθ/θ でしょ」
と言えば
「あっ、そうだ。私ってバカですね」
と言う子もいれば、
「何を言ってるのですか」
と言う子もいる。同じ発言に対しても反応は千差万別だ。
Human beings
are not computers. We cannot control
people. When I say
“This problem could be solved
using sinθ/θ.”
some students say
“Yea, I’m stupid.”
On the other hand, some students
say
“What are you talking abou?”
アメリカの中学校で教師をしていました。
２6歳、無職、貯金なし、彼女なし、資格なし、何にもなしだった(２０００回再生）
長く受験指導をしていると、３０分くらい質疑応答をすると、どのレベルの大学に合格できる子か分かる。メールを１０回くらい往復させると知的レベルが分かる。経験が浅い人でも、１時間も話をすると、その人がどういう人かだいたい分かるでしょう？
I’ve taught students for a long time and the experience lets me know
what kind of students they are after 30 minutes interview. Exchanging 10 mails lets me know the level of
the person.
You also can be able to know the person after 1 hour talking.
「FM三重」でラジオ英会話を担当しました。
「オマエは馬鹿だ」
と言えなくなった。
「全ての生徒には無限の可能性があるのだ」
なんて、綺麗ごとのウソがまかりとおる事態になってしまった。夢から覚める時期だと思う。
We cannot say
“You are stupid.”
“Every single student has
unlimited bright future.”
This is not correct and people should say true reality.
Otherwise, they will be liars.

ベクトルや微積分が理解できるのは、生徒の上位７％くらい。それでいいと思う。料理のうまい子、歌のうまい子、野球のうまい子もそれくらいしかいないだろう。
「おまえはオンチだなぁ」
とは言えるのに、なんで
「おまえは数学ができないねぇ」
とは言えないのは、なぜなんだろう。
My
teaching experience tells me that about 7% of students can understand advanced
math. That’s fine because good cooks,
good singers or good baseball players are also about 7%.
We can say
“You are not good singers.”
But why is it difficult to say
“You are not good at solving
math problem.”

と簡単に言い過ぎる。いくらお金が欲しいからと言って、ウソはいかんでしょう。なんて言っていたら、蛇蝎のごとく嫌われた。
Cramming
school teachers easily say
“Trust me. Your son can pass the entrance exam with my
help.”
They like making money, however a lie is a lie.
Telling it, some people disliked me.

ここで気楽に書いているのは、生きていける程度の支持者がいるからだ。政治家のように投票で自分の身分を決められる人たちは、ウソを言いまくって当選していくから信用できない。
The reason why I’m writing this
here is that some people like my frank talking and my teaching way. They support me and I am grateful to them.
